Hello and welcome to the Delta Gamma chapter of Tri Delta! Thank you for taking the time to explore our website and find out what life as a Tri Delta is all about. As a part of the Vanderbilt community for over one hundred years, our chapter is proud to have maintained one of Greek Life’s top GPAs and top fundraising totals, while having a great time doing it all! We look forward to another successful year, and can’t wait to continue to expand and improve.
Service and philanthropy are an important part of our sorority experience. Along with our annual dance show, Delta Underground, benefiting Nashville’s Monroe Carrel Jr. Children’s Hospital, our chapter also supports Tri Delta’s national philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Our spring philanthropy Frats at Bat is dedicated to this cause. Last semester we took a trip as a chapter to Memphis, TN to tour the St. Jude Hospital and interact with patients and their families. We recently expanded our fundraising initiatives for St. Jude by partnering with Vanderbilt Sigma Nu to host a late night grilled cheese sale, which turned out to be extremely successful! Vanderbilt Tri Delta has been consistently honored as one of the top fundraisers among Tri Delta chapters across the country, and we plan to continue to raise our fundraising total this year.
Beyond our involvement through service, Tri Delta maintains a strong presence on campus throughout the year. We have been awarded the Homecoming cup for most spirit two years in a row. We are also the home of last year’s Most Outstanding Senior and Greek Servant of the Year award winner, Lisa Branding. One of our proudest accomplishments was the $13,000 we raised for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society during Sigma Chi Derby Days, making us the winning Sorority of the philanthropy event! With members on the Varsity dance, cheerleading, golf, and lacrosse teams as well as student leaders in almost every major student organization, it’s hard to miss Tri Deltas on campus.
My time at Vanderbilt would not be complete without the invaluable guidance, inspiration, advice, and support I’ve gained from the incredible members of our chapter, not to mention all the late night dance parties and Bachelorette viewings to look forward to. I had no idea that being a member of Tri Delta could give me so many incredible relationships and present me with so many opportunities, but now I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. We hope you enjoy learning more about our chapter, and hope to see you soon!
